Tshirt Design made easy!

Making a tshirt design is as easy to get today than ever before.  The most important decision you will make is choosing the graphic artist you choose to work on you design.  Here are some things you need to consider.

1. How many years have you been in graphic design and can you show me some examples of your work.

Getting a designer today is as easy as easy as it ever has been. Becoming a graphic designers have become so easy that everybody thinks that if they know how to use software programs and provide design and artwork to a material, they could easily get clients.  That is definitely not that easy.  A good designer will ask you a set of questions and decipher what it is you really want and more importantly what you can actually accomplish.  Some times what a person wants is not realistic or will turn out bad and a confident designer will let you know up front.

Custom design is a two-way street. Both the designer and the client need to meet in the middle to have a successful tshirt design. To be able to maximize those benefits, here are some questions that we came up with to help you get the most suitable graphic designer working for your tee shirt project.

2. Can I see some of your work?

Seeing first hand what your designer has done in the past and getting his likes and dislikes on tshirt design and art can tell you what they will be designing for you. Sometimes you get lucky and get someone who has the exact look of what you have in mind or has already done something similar for somebody else.

3. What is the time frame to get your tshirt design?

Projects can be complex and may take several hours to finish.  Some of the simple one may take minutes.  If you are prepared and give the designer a lot of direction that will save both you and the designer valuable time.  This will result in a lower cost.

4. What is the cost of a tshirt design?

Design costs can vary on the amount hours needed to complete your design.  Be sure you know what the hourly fee will be and ask for an estimate.  Some artists will put a cap on the overall cost.  This is something else you should consider. Will there be any extra charges?   On some projects they are unavoidable because of the changing nature of the design process.

When it is all said and done, choosing an artist to help with your tshirt design is just a decision you need to make and it depends upon you and your project. Each designer will have strengths and weaknesses. Each of them has their own differences that can be an advantage for you and your company if you do your custom screen printingwork. So don't be afraid to look around. With the power of the Internet you can use a designer miles away and never know they aren’t next door.
